    About the Role


    In this permanent part-time role, supporting the Planning and Supply Chain Department, you will provide critical administrative assistance in production planning, raw material orders, and packaging supply to meet production demand. Key challenges for the role is proactively reacting to events such as raw material / packaging supply availability, operational output variation, demand variability & weather fluctuations by adjusting inbound deliveries and operational plans to meet customer requirements.


    The successful candidate will work on a 5-day fortnight, including Wednesday, Thursday and 1 flexible day.




    • Maintain proactive contact with suppliers to understand order status, packaging problems, and works with suppliers to resolve issues regarding procedures, delivery, status updates, pricing, and other matters.
    • Provide information for affected cross-functional areas including production operations, purchasing, Supplier Quality, and product quality.
    • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases to assist with responsibilities; analyze data; audit pull signals and overall system performance; measure supplier delivery performance.
    • Assist with data entry and administration within production scheduling systems; inventory levels relative to manufacturing capacity and capability; and compiles and schedules orders.
    • Provide administration support to track, evaluate, and maintain evolving data for new product introduction.
    • Maintain and own the site production and material scheduling process to ensure consistency between weekly supply plans (MPS) and daily schedules.
    • Validate the daily production schedule to ensure that all produce materials and other resources are available and the plan is executable.
    • Work directly with materials and manufacturing personnel to communicate procurement delivery schedules along with real and potential shortages
    • Assist with evaluation, auditing and management of new and existing sources of supply

    Skills & Experience

    • Experience in business administration, preferably scheduling and planning
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Be flexible and adapt quickly to a changing environment
    • High attention to detail
    • Understands food production operations with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong network across departments; can draws on network to answer questions, solve problems, and successfully execute responsibilities
    • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines in a busy environment
    • Nature of fresh produce business means that factory operations are 7 days/week and may require person to be on call on a w/e roster, step up to full time during peak periods/leave coverage
