About the Role


We are now seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Perth salad processing facility. You will report directly into the Site Manager and manage the site maintenance needs within agreed budgets, whilst improving efficiencies through new technology and innovation.


Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing onsite maintenance needs with 80% available time spent on preventative maintenance and 20% on reactive maintenance
  • Identifying and recommending new, viable machinery and processes to benefit production
  • Approaching maintenance duties and tasks with a ‘Hands on’ approach when required
  • Participating in Site Steering initiatives to drive a positive culture change on site
  • Managing a team of Electrical and Mechanical tradesmen
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with Internal and External stakeholders
  • Communicate plans effectively internally and externally
  • Experience with budget control and cost analysis
  • Focusing on health and safety whilst maintaining quality

To be successful, you will ideally have

  • Previous FMCG Experience in a similar role
  • 5 years minimum in a management role within the FMCG industry
  • Experience delivering commercial results in an operational environment with a focus on food safety
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Electrical highly regarded
  • Exposure to GMP/HACCP
  • Advanced maintenance software skills, i.e. MEX, CAD
  • Refined communication and people management skills
  • Focus on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Lean/Six Sigma exposure preferred
  • Project management qualifications or experience
  • The ability to travel when required (limited)
  • The ability to be on call outside of structured working hours to meet business requirements in 24/7 operations
