About the Role

 

We are now seeking a dynamic Technical Assistant to join our complex salad processing facility in Bibra Lake, Perth on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for Food Science Graduates.  You will report directly to the Assistant Site Technical Manager and help drive quality systems to ensure all products and processes exceed customer and legislative expectations.

 

Duties

  • Use initiative to solve food safetyand quality issues
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality standards
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including external contractors and clients
  • Assist with audits to achieve zero major or critical non-conformances
  • Perform raw material assessments and provide solutions for quality issues
  • Contribute towards microbe testing

Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, or similar
  • Auditing certifications highly advantageous
  • Relevant experience, preferably within chilled foods
  • training and be familiar with BRC, WQA and other customer standards preferred
  • Demonstrate confident, clear communications and the ability to push-back
