Our Maintenance team is responsible for the timely and efficient management of breakdowns and preventative maintenance. You will ensure minimal disruption to the newest of our four manufacturing sites in Sydney. Ideally the successful candidate will be a dual trade Electrician & Mechanical Fitter. However, we are open to qualified Electricians with mechanical experience.  

 

Duties

 

  • Drive service culture, focussed on immediate breakdown maintenance
  • Proactively identify & coordinate preventative maintenance
  • Technical support & training to machine operators for basic troubleshooting
  • Support for continuous improvement/project implementation
  • Investigate plant or equipment deficiencies that lead to out-of-spec finished goods

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Qualified Electrician or Mechanical Fitter
  • Experience with mechanical repairs equipment & strong fault finding abilities
  • Able to repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromised

  • Be the central communication point for all site based new product development activities
  • Meet Australian Food Safety Standards, Partner and Internal requirements to deliver the highest quality safe food products to the market

We are now seeking a Food Concept and Innovation Technologist to join our value-add salad and vegetable processing facility in Wacol, Brisbane. Working within the New Product Development Team (NDP), you will be responsible for creating new products, setting product development plans and managing customer relationships in our fast paced FMCG environment.

 

Duties

  • Conduct new product research, conceptualise and develop new products to excite the category that contributes to continued business growth

  • Apply scientific and engineering principles in the research, development, production technology, quality control, packaging, processing, and utilisation of foods

  • Research the latest developments and trends in the industry domestically and overseas and complete benchmarking

  • Manage the internal trial process as it relates to new product introduction and conduct trials with customers

  • Run product feasibility meetings with the Process Technologist to ensure that all products launched are feasible and will deliver a positive benefit to the business.

  • Develop product costings and commercial acumen with project budget management

  • Update existing product portfolios and drive continuous improvements

  • Prepare and facilitate customer presentations and sample preparations

    Tests new products and develop specific processing methods in consultation with relevant departments
  • Understand customer briefs and business values to create new concepts and product improvements, both in response to briefs and proactive internal development.
  • Work cross functionally as part of the NDP team, liaising internally with Marketing, Technical, Production and Commercial teams as well as external suppliers to ensure the successful development of products.
  • Present proposals to customers showing a clear understanding of recipes, benchmarks, commercial costings, customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Support the NPD Process team in the smooth transfer of products from development to full factory launch to the required timescale, quality and budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of concept development plans, incorporating trend scanning, consumer insights and category performance data.

  • Passion for food, creative flair and an awareness of the latest food trends and innovations.
  • BSc Food Science, or similar, degree.
  • Experience in FMCG industry in a product concept development role.
  • Chef background desirable but not essential.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within new product development.
  • Strong initiative and a willingness to take on projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Good commercial and category development awareness and understanding of production processes and development limitations.

This role will also assist in the site technical & quality performance, specifically exceeding our customer process, product specifications and systems adherence to legislative requirements.

 

 

Duties

 

  • Reduce and report on budgeted margins, customer complaints and Lost Time Injuries
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality standards
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including external contractors and clients
  • Assist with audits to achieve zero major or critical non-conformances
  • Drive continuous improvements in product quality and process
  • Perform product and process assessments and provide solutions for quality issues
  • Contribute to site quality and food safety testing regime

 

Skills

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, or similar preferred
  • Auditing certifications highly advantageous
  • Relevant experience, preferably within chilled foods

About the Role

 

We are now seeking an experienced, Senior Technical Quality Assurance Officer join our WA operations.  Based at our Bibra Lake facility in Perth, you will help drive quality systems to ensure all products and processes exceed customer and legislative expectations.

 

Duties

  • Administration of HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Systems including BRC.
  • Working with external auditing bodies to ensure compliance to standards and customer requirements.
  • Development and improvement of systems and processes to ensure continual compliance to Quality and Safety standards.
  • Reduce and report on budgeted margins, customer complaints and Lost Time Injuries
  • Assist with audits to achieve zero major or critical non-conformances
  • Drive continuous improvements in product quality and process
  • Perform raw material assessments and provide solutions for quality issues
  • Facilitate/lead projects and quality incident investigations focused on root cause analysis

 

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, or similar
  • Auditing certifications highly advantageous
  • Relevant experience, preferably within chilled foods
  • Extensive HACCP training and be familiar with BRC, WQA and other customer standards
  • Demonstrate confident, clear communications

  • Work safely and adhere to food hygiene rules
  • Repetitive movements and standing for long periods required in all roles

Skills & Experience

  • Current LF Licence
  • High reach experience prefferable  
  • Ability to work at a very fast pace with a focus on achieving KPI’s
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transport to get to your shifts
  • High attention to detail

  • Cover shifts across a 24/7 factory, predominantly afternoon shift for hygiene

  • Chemical handling experience preferred

We are seeking an experienced Regional Supply Manager - Produce to join our WA operations.  Based at our Bibra Lake facility in Perth, this is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining competitive, stable grower relationships to deliver  high quality produce to specification to our national processing facilities.

 

Duties

 

  • Co-ordinate fresh produce supply to meet weekly processing requirements (DIFFOT)
  • Continue to develop the Regional supply strategy for the region to deliver against key business objectives
  • Participate in the Site Steering Team to ensure seamless management of key factory processes and stabilise site culture
  • Identify opportunities to improve and expand grower capabilities
  • Advise the operations and buying teams of known quality issues with growers and monitor to best meet product specifications

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Refined negotiation and planning skills
  • Advanced relationship management skills, both internal and external
  • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, or similar
  • Experience working with produce growers
  • Relevant experience, preferably within a FMCG supply chain or processing environment
  • Sound understanding of food safety fundamentals
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively negotiate win-wins within a commercial environment

About the Role

Due to increased growth, we are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor who will manage the customer orders/delivery and the performance of site logistics partners. Reporting into the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, this role will supervise the team and oversee the hands-on despatch and receivables functions.

 

Duties

  • Manage the flow of product through the warehouse (and production) against time critical constraints.
  • Responsible for inventory / stock management through your team.
  • Provide direction and motivation with your direct employees to ensure the daily workload is completed in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Maintains a positive hands on presence on the floor throughout the shift.
  • Supervises and coordinates all warehouse functions.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork and reports as required.
  • Provision of on the job training, adherence to SOP’s and employee development
  • Communicates with other members of management and departments to ensure that goals are accomplished.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food Safety policies and procedures, as appropriate for location 
  • Develops a Continuous Improvement culture in the business and implements improved processes.  
  • Drives KPI's in your team re: health and safety, quality, customer service, labour and materials, DIFOT.
  • Develops relationships and works in collaboration with the Production and Operations team. 

Skills & Experience

  • Recent experience in a supervisory level role
  • FMCG industry experience
  • Forklift ticket and experience within warehousing
  • Efficient in using warehouse systems, technology and software packages
